Jakub Blaszczykowski, The New Captain Of The Polish National Team!

After poor performances lately by Michal Zewlakow, Frank Smuda has decided to search for a new captain and leader of the Polish national team. From all reports, it appears his search was a quick and fruitful one. According to many reports, Jakub Blaszczykowski will become the new captain of the Polish national team.

-"More and more, he is showing overall responsibility when it comes to the national team. He not only gives 100% on the pitch, but he is also setting a good example off the pitch," said Smuda.

On November 27th, Smuda will travel to Germany to watch Borussia Dortmund take on Borussia Monchengladbach.

-"I'm going there to see my players and to watch them in action. Kuba and Lukasz (Piszczek) are performing well. I must admit that we're building our team around Kuba Blaszczykowski. He will be our new captain for Euro 2012," Smuda told Przeglad Sportowy.

On her twitter account, Agnieszka Olejkowska spokeswoman of PZPN wrote, "Our national team will have a new captain for Euro. It will be Jakub Blaszczykowski."

  1. He definitely deserves it, hes the only player that always seems to play well and give it his all everytime he plays for Poland. Congratulations to him!

  2. Kuba as captain is perfect, and maybe this means we now won't have to see Zewlak in the Euro. Also I think Obraniak should be vice captain for when Kuba is out because even though he probably doesn't speak good Polish, he leads the team through his actions and play on the pitch, same as Kuba but Kuba can shout at players in Polish. Maybe Ludo can be the captain to the French players like Perquis and Koscielny lol.
