Poland national team defender Sebastian Boenisch has signed a one-year contract extension with German club Werder Bremen.
Due to a knee injury, Boenisch made only one league appearance for Werder this season. Boenisch has been sidelined since last October.
Boenisch made his debut for the Polish national team in September 2010 but has not played since then for Frank Smuda.
