Wisla taking a look at Baszczynski

Wisla Krakow are looking to strength their defensive game before qualifications to the Champions League begin.

Wisla Krakow's sporting director Stan Valckx has been observing Anderlecht's defender Marcin Wasilewski, but his transfer is unlikely to happen as Wasilewski is under contract with the Belgium club until 2012.

Wisla are now taking looking at their former defedner Marcin Baszczynski, who is currently under contract with Greek side Atromitos F.C. However, Baszczynski is planning to return to Poland this summer after the incidents that occurred after the Greek Cup final, when angry Atromitos fans threated their own players after the loss.

Baszczynski left Wisla in 2009 after spending nine years in Krakow. The 33-year old defender has already met with Stan Valckx.
