Nacho Novo introduced by Legia
Spanish striker Nacho Novo was officially introduced by Legia Warszawa on Friday in a press conference where he showed off his new No. 9 jersey.
Novo signed a 6-month contract with Legia on Thursday. He was also given the option to resign for another year when the contract expires this summer.
"I am very happy to be in Poland and soon, I will meet my new teammates," Novo said during the press conference. "Legia is a big club and they are doing really well in the Europa League this season."
Just a few weeks ago, Novo was training with his former club Glasgow Rangers. He hoped for a return to Scotland, but the Scottish club was facing financial problems and had no money to spend.
"It didn't take me too long to make a decision to join Legia. I received an offer a week ago. I thought about it for maybe two or three days and I think I made the right decision," Novo said.
Novo will not make his Legia debut against Gornik Zabrze on Sunday. He will most likely debut in an important match against Ekstraklasa leaders Slask Wroclaw on February 26th.
