Wasilewski could face huge suspension
Poland national team defender Marcin Wasilewski could be fined with a seven-game suspension after elbowing an opponent in the head in Anderlecht's 2-2 draw with St.Truiden on Sunday.
In the 81st minute of the match, Wasilewski elbowed captain Peter Delorge in the head. The player was rushed to a local hospital with a concussion. The 31-year old player also suffered a broken nose. Wasilewski was not fined on the field as the referees did not see the incident.
After the game, Anderlecht's head coach Ariel Jacobs said Wasilewski's 'challenge' was totally unacceptable and bad for team. Wasilewski started and played the full 90 minutes.
