Preview: Lech Poznan vs. FC Zhetysu

Game time: 2:00 PM EST

After a year absence, Lech Poznan is returning to Europe.

Thanks to a fourth place finish in the Ekstraklasa, Lech Poznan will begin their Europa League campaign in the first qualifying round against Kazakh side FC Zhetysu.

FC Zhetysu will be making their Europa League debut thanks to a second place finish in the Kazakhstan Premier League. Ulugbek Bakaev, their 33-year-old striker, was the top scorer with 18 goals in the league last season.

As for Lech, they've made couple transactions since the season ended. The two obviously losses are Artjoms Rudnevs and Semir Stilic. Lech also decided not to offer new contracts to Marcin Kikut and Dimitrije Injac, who both left the club. Their captain Grzegorz Wojtkowiak also decided to leave on a free transfer to German side 1860 Munich.

back from Korona Kielce.

The game will not be televised on any Polish network, but I'll try to find some links.
