Marcin Dorna hired as Poland U-21 head coach

The Polish Football Association has officially named Marcin Dorna as the head coach of its U-21 and U-20 national teams.

Dorna will lead the U-21 side through qualifications for the 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, which are scheduled to begin on March 22. Dorna takes over Stefan Majewski's position, who was recently hired as Sporting Director of PZPN.

The U-21 side will be the Olympics team this year. They'll be looking to qualify for the Olympic games for the first time since 1992, when Poland finished as runner-ups.

PZPN also announced today that Marcin Sasal will coach the U-19 and U-18 sides and Robert Wojcik will lead  the U-17 and U-16 teams.

    1. Marcin Dorna has coached at NT U15 and on up. He is coaching a group of talented kids and slowly moving up with them as they move up in age. He was coaching U15 in 2010, then moved up with them to U17 & took 3rd place (Losing semi-finalist) in 2012 European championship tournament.
Very intelligent move to move him up to U21 with that group he has been guiding for a few years.
