Wolski to undergo medical tests with Fiorentina
Polish national team prospect Rafal Wolski is heading to Italy on Wednesday to undergo medical tests with Fiorentina, Legia Warszawa announced on their official website.
President of Legia, Boguslaw Lesnodorski, told the team's official website that an agreement with Fiorentina has not yet been signed, but the clubs are negotiating and are very close to a deal. The Italian side will pay 2.8 million euros for the 20-year-old.
There was also a report that Wolski will sign with Fiorentina, but will be heading back to Legia on loan for the rest of the season. Wolski has just returned to health after missing the last six month with a heel injury. He saw his first action today (and scored a goal) in Legia 4-2 win.

Could be a good move. Its a good club but a club thats not too big, so he can hopefully actually get some decent playing time in a better league.
ReplyDeleteapparently its 3.5mil + a shit load of bonuses.
ReplyDeleteBut will Legia actually reinvest any of the money in strengthening their squad? The amount of talent flooding out of the ekstraklasa needs to be replaced.
ReplyDeleteIt will be replaced by youth.
DeleteI believe that he has the potential to play in Italy.. Wolski and Kosecki are the biggest polish talents in my opinion.. But he should spend the rest of the season with Legia, win the tittle and then go to Fiorentina..
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure that Legia will loose a few players next summer( Wolski, Kosecki, Zyro), so I think that we will have to wait a little bit longer to finally have a polish club in champions league..
Best case is if he stayed with Legia and they qualify for the champion's league. The faster polish teams play more competitive games, the faster that all players develop ... not just Wolski.
