The 31-year-old agreed to personal terms with Gornik and the deal will become official when Jelen passes his medical tests today.
"If Jelen passes his medical tests this evening, he will sign a contract for the rest of the season with an option to extend it for another two years," Krzysztof Maj, Vice President of Gornik, told the club's official website.
Jelen spend the first half of the season playing for Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała, where he made seven league appearances, not scoring even once. Gornik, on the other hand, sit in fourth place and kick-off their spring round vs. Piast Gliwice on Monday.
